I’m Cathy Krege, a senior living executive with over three decades of proven leadership in healthcare operations, clinical services, compliance, and strategic growth. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of guiding teams, launching new communities, and elevating standards in senior living across multiple states. My work is driven by a deep passion for improving the lives of seniors and creating environments where both residents and staff feel seen, valued, and supported.

From my early roots in geriatrics with a focus on dementia and Alzheimer’s care, to becoming a nurse a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and leading operational turnarounds, I’ve built my career on balancing compassion with compliance. I’ve opened over 30 new senior living communities from groundbreaking to full licensure, acquisitions, led enterprise-wide initiatives such as fall prevention technology rollouts, and created robust quality assurance and infection control programs. These experiences have not only sharpened my operational acumen but also reaffirmed my belief that great leadership is rooted in empathy, consistency, and high standards.

I’ve served in key leadership roles including Vice President of Clinical Solutions & Compliance and Regional Director of Operations, Director of Nursing, Licensed Administrator and Director of Development, overseeing teams across assisted living, independent living, and memory care. I’ve partnered cross-functionally with HR, finance, legal, and audit teams to drive change, ensure regulatory readiness, and deliver results in occupancy, budget management, and customer satisfaction. I also bring a unique regulatory perspective from my time as a State Inspector for Missouri’s Department of Health and Senior Services, a role that deepened my understanding of how to proactively prepare communities for compliance excellence.

My leadership philosophy is simple: when you invest in people, outcomes follow. I believe in mentoring emerging leaders, building strong interdisciplinary teams, and fostering a culture of trust and accountability. Whether I’m guiding Directors of Nursing, leading a clinical strategy, or helping a community bounce back from challenges, my focus remains on building systems that support excellence and sustainability.
